Middleton Lakes is off the A4091, just six miles from the M6 and four miles from the M42, north-east of Birmingham.
By car, from the M42, take the A446, the A4091 (ignore signs for Middleton Hall which has a separate entrance) and then follow the brown signs to Bodymoor Heath Road.
The site shares the same entrance as Aston Villa training ground.
The car park is located a mile down the Aston villa entrance track.
The reserve is not currently served by buses.
The nearest railway station is Wilnecote, 2.5 miles away.
On foot follow the signs towards Fazeley then turn left on the A4091 until you reach the canal.
Walk alongside the canal to the reserve.
The site can be accessed by road and public rights of way network.
Bike racks are available by the Welcome hub.
The site has several access points where rights of way and towpaths travel through the site.
Access from Fazeley, Dosthill, Kingsbury, Drayton Bassett and Middleton village on foot.
