Shop Closure

The RSPB’s shop at Darts Farm is to permanently close on 15 March 2026.

The RSPB constantly reviews its work across the UK to maximise our impact for nature with the resources we have available.
As a charity, it is essential that we generate income to fund our work. Despite the best efforts of staff and volunteers, rising costs and overheads means that the shop is no longer making a profit, and not raising the money we need to fund our vital nature conservation work.

This means that, regrettably, after 18 years, we will be closing the RSPB shop at Darts Farm. We would like to express our wholehearted thanks to our staff and volunteers, past and present, and the many thousands of people who have visited our shop over the years for their contribution to help save nature.

Darts Farm is a working farm and nature reserve, owned by Darts Farm. Please check their website for opening times of facilities.

The panoramic views across both the Clyst Valley and the farm’s wetland nature reserve, managed by the family-run Darts Farm, provide the perfect testing grounds for the range of binoculars and scopes on offer. Our knowledgeable staff are on hand to help you with any optics or bird feeding queries you may have.

Nestled on the banks of the River Clyst in Exeter, Darts Farm is family-run working farm with shopping facilities and a nature reserve. It’s home to expanses of wetland habitat, where rolling fields are dotted with ponds that teem with wildlife. There are flocks of Linnets, Fieldfares and Redwings during the winter, and dragonflies, Skylarks and Kingfishers dart around in the summer.

Why not take a walk or cycle from Darts Farm along the elevated National Cycle Network routeto see views of the RSPB’s two neighbouring nature reserves, RSPB Bowling Green and RSPB Goosemoor?
