What’s it all about?
The Youth Network is a large and inclusive group of young people from across Scotland who share a passion for wildlife, conservation and taking action on climate change and nature loss. It’s led by its members who meet regularly online to chat and share ideas with like-minded people, try new activities and learn new skills.
If you join, some of the things you’ll get up to include:
-
Talking about wildlife and habitats on your patch and across Scotland
-
Hearing about conservation-based careers from our experts
-
Discovering different ways to volunteer with the RSPB and partners
-
Developing advocacy skills to campaign for nature issues that matter to you
-
Exploring creative responses to our natural world around us
More experienced members of the Network can take on leadership roles and tasks that suit their interests.
When does the network meet?
The Network meet up online via Teams on the first Wednesday of each month from 7pm-8.30pm, with the option to participate in more in-person events throughout the year.
Why should I join?
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the biggest conservation charity in Europe and use your own voice to strengthen the RSPB's call to action for nature. Come build your own knowledge of conservation efforts while speaking up for the issues that matter to you. The crisis facing our wildlife is urgent and the UK is one of the most nature-depleted places in the world. But when we act together, we can turn this around.
