Do you have a passion for nature and love talking to people? Why not come and work as a Membership Fundraiser for the UK’s largest nature conservation charity and help save nature? We have full-time and part-time positions across the UK, with an excellent package of benefits. Together, we can raise vital funds for nature.

About your new role

Each day you will use your company van to travel to different venues around your local area, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and generating new RSPB memberships via direct debits.  

Don't worry if you're not a wildlife expert – we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Your enthusiasm is the most important thing. 

You'll have the flexibility to choose a contract between three and five days per week, and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission. With 34 days of annual leave (pro rata and including bank holidays) and access to confidential support services, we value your work-life balance and well-being.

What you will bring:

  • Ability to be a positive ambassador for the RSPB 
  • Resilience, with a friendly, professional nature and enthusiasm with the public 
  • A passion for conservation (no prior knowledge required) 
  • Ability to work to targets 
  • A driver’s licence valid for use in the UK 
  • Happy to work 3 out of 4 weekends 
  • Happy to travel (on average) an hour away from home each day 
  • Willingness to work outdoors and independently 
  • Fundraising/sales and customer service experience (desirable).

What’s it like being a Membership Fundraiser?  

“I’ve done two years as a Membership Fundraiser with the RSPB. It has flown by, but at the same time I feel so comfortable and accomplished in my role.
