First… think about who else you can involve
Numbers count. Your MP will see how important nature is to their constituents if there are a significant number of people getting involved in the nature surgery. If you’re part of an RSPB local group, reach out to other members. If you’re not, you can check if there is a local one here, and get in touch to see if other members would like to be involved.
Think about your friends, family and personal networks
Who else do you know who feels the same way about nature as you do?
Are there any nature issues you know of locally? Are there people involved in campaigning or volunteering about these? These are people worth reaching out to.
Are there any other nature friendly organisations locally that you could link up with?
If you have five or fewer people taking part, ask your MP if you can have an appointment as part of their normal schedule of surgeries.
If you have a group of more than five people, it might be worth asking your MP if they could make some more time to address the group in a specifically organised event.
