Two designated parking areas - one at Totronald Information Room and the other at the opposite end of the reserve. Parking areas on grass surfaces at either end of the reserve. Drop-off point at information room.
The information room and at NM167563 are good for seeing corncrakes in May. Viewing benches at the information room and at NM167563.
Three suggested unmarked walking routes leading from the two car parks. Sheep and vehicle tracks can be followed to beaches, 1 mile (1.5 km) each way, and areas of interest.

BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
We do not have a visitor centre, however there is an information room that has leaflets and trail maps. The information room also has recent sightings and events listings.
Accessed from roughly-surfaced public highway, entry by grass path and ramp into information room with sand-covered cobbled flooring.

There is no cafe or shop here, the nearest place for food and drinks is at Arinagour, six miles away. We recommend you bring your own food and drinks if this is likely to affect your visit.
Restrictions
The reserve is managed as a safe home for breeding birds, so please keep dogs on a lead at all times. This nature reserve is an important place for wildlife. RSPB Scotland welcomes responsible access, in line with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. We hope you enjoy your visit
