Our Leafy Loop, Wetland and Heritage Trails paths are pushchair accessible. The Visitor Centre and Shop have step free access, and there is a ramp up to the cafe.

Toilets are open 24/7 and are located in main courtyard at ground level. All toilets are individual cubicles with their own handwashing facilities.
Our Visitor Centre has a welcome area and shop on the ground floor, and a cafe on the first floor. The welcome area is a great spot to learn about what wildlife has been seen, pick up a trail map, and ask our friendly team questions about your visit.
Dogs are welcome in the Visitor Centre.
Our café has a fantastic view over the loch and is a great place to watch wildlife. We have a range of lunch options, hot and cold drinks and cakes available, with vegan and gluten-free options. Our café can be accessed via steps or ramp and is dog friendly.
The shop is on the ground floor and stocks gifts for adults and children, books, bird food, wildlife care and a wide range of binoculars and telescopes.
We have an optics deck where you can try out the different binoculars and scopes we have in stock, to find the perfect pair for you. Our team can assist in answering any questions you have. We also run special binocular and telescope demo days, visit our event page for more information on these.
We have a picnic area near to the Visitor Centre and Leafy Loop trail, with a great view over the loch.
Binoculars are available for hire from our shop during opening hours.

There are three hides on the Wetland Trail which are reached from the Visitor Centre via the step-free underpass. These are great places to watch wildlife.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the Visitor Centre and Cafe. A tap and water bowl are available in the visitor centre courtyard.
Assistance dogs only in the Waterston and Carden hides.
Dogs under close control, preferably on a short lead, are allowed on all trails on the reserve in line with the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. This is particularly important during the bird breeding season April - August. Please pick up after your dog and dispose of any bags in bins or take it home.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
