2 Blue Badge spaces Spaces 150m away from the Visitor Centre. Surface is gravel and mostly flat, but slightly uneven in places. Overflow has grass surface, flat but uneven.
No lighting. Entry to the reserve involves crossing a railway line. If you have mobility difficulties or poor eyesight, please use the phone at the gate to check with the signal operator that no trains are coming.
Our baby changing facilities are located in the toilets in a separate toilet block at the entrance to the reserve.

We run an exciting programme of guided walks and other events throughout the year.
We have 3 hides in total - Reception Hide, Fen Hide and Tower Hide, plus informal viewing areas throughout the trails.
Reception Hide has adjacent screen and level throughout; the hide itself has three steps to viewing slots.
Fen Hide has five steps.
Tower Hide is 1.2 miles (1.9 km) from the entrance with 17 steps.

The Fen Trail is 3.8 km long. Allow around 1.5 hours to complete this trail. This is a gentle route, but the paths are uneven. Part of this trail (from beyond Tower hide) is closed from end Oct to the beginning of March.
The Meadow Trail is open in spring and summer only, and is 0.5 km long. Allow around 30 minutes to complete this trail. This trail is gentle, but the path is uneven with steps to the riverbank.
The Woodland Trail is 1.8 km long. Allow around 1 hour to complete this trail. The paths on this trail are gentle, but are uneven in places and 11 steps or a steep slope up to the riverbank. Benches are located along all three trails.
Den building area open dawn till dusk. Our pond dipping kits can be hired for just £3, available from 1 April-31 October. No booking is required - just pick up your kit from the reception hide and have fun!

No accessible toilet but there are larger cubicles, situated at the reserve entrance and with level access.
BBQs are a fire risk, endangering other people and the precious wildlife and habitats here. They are not permitted on the reserve at any time.
Restrictions
Sorry, dogs are not permitted at Strumpshaw Fen, except assistance dogs, due to the sensitive wildlife and habitats here.
Other exciting dog walking routes are available to enjoy in the local area, with dog-owners welcome to park at Strumpshaw Fen and walk to nearby RSPB Buckenham Marshes.
Dogs die in hot cars, please do not leave your dog in the car when visiting us.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all parts of the reserve.
