Avian influenza (bird flu) and other diseases

Avian flu, or bird flu, affects poultry and wild birds. We’re working to tackle bird flu and other diseases through our policy, advocacy and science work, as well as on reserves.

Nature Friendly Farming

70%  of the UK is farmed in some way, through working with farmers to make this land more nature friendly we can help turn around the decline of nature in the wider countryside.

Global policy

Nature knows no boundaries and in working to address the nature crisis we take a global approach to solving the problems nature faces.

Nature positive economy

The nature crisis poses a real threat to the world economy, we are using nature’s resources 1.6 times as fast as our ecosystems can replenish them. We are calling for investment in nature's recovery to help wildlife and our economy.

Species Recovery

Ever since the RSPB began in 1889, we've helped species and that's still at the heart of what we do. The species of greatest conservation concern and the threats they face may be different now, but the need to help wildlife is still urgent.
